Apple Watch Bands — Coming Soon

CNS Watch Bands Apple Watch bands are in development. This page will be updated when Apple Watch-specific products are available.

In the meantime, this page covers what to expect from the CNS Apple Watch range, the Apple Watch sizing system, and how to choose the right band when the collection launches.

What to Expect from CNS Apple Watch Bands

CNS Watch Bands has spent over a decade building the most comprehensive watch strap collection available from a single retailer — full-grain calfskin leather, suede, ballistic nylon, FKM rubber, canvas, sailcloth, elastic, and hybrid constructions — all in the same materials and quality as the traditional watch strap range.

The CNS Apple Watch collection will bring these same materials to Apple Watch owners — specifically designed connectors and lug configurations for the Apple Watch case, in the full range of CNS colours and constructions. The same full-grain calfskin that suits a Rolex Submariner. The same ballistic nylon that was designed for military issue. The same FKM rubber used on professional dive watches. For the Apple Watch.

Apple Watch Sizing — What You Need to Know

Apple Watch uses a proprietary lug connector system rather than standard spring bars. This means Apple Watch bands are not interchangeable with traditional watch straps without an adapter. When the CNS Apple Watch collection launches, bands will be cut and configured specifically for Apple Watch case sizes.

Apple Watch case sizes and corresponding band widths:

Apple Watch Model Case Size Band Width
Apple Watch Series 9 / 10 41mm 41mm band
Apple Watch Series 9 / 10 45mm 45mm band
Apple Watch SE (2nd gen) 40mm 40mm band
Apple Watch SE (2nd gen) 44mm 44mm band
Apple Watch Ultra 2 49mm 49mm band

Apple Watch bands in the 38mm/40mm/41mm series are cross-compatible — a band designed for the 40mm SE fits the 41mm Series 9 and vice versa. Similarly, 42mm/44mm/45mm bands are cross-compatible. The 49mm Ultra uses its own specific band width.

The practical sizing rule: measure the case width of your Apple Watch or check your Apple Watch model on Apple's website. If your case is 41mm, 40mm, or 38mm, you need a small/medium band. If your case is 45mm, 44mm, or 42mm, you need a medium/large band.

Why CNS for Apple Watch Bands

Most Apple Watch band retailers offer silicone sport bands, basic nylon, or low-grade leather. The Apple Watch is an expensive and carefully designed piece of technology — the band it wears should reflect that, not undermine it.

The watch strap market for traditional watches has moved well beyond basic materials. Apple Watch owners deserve the same access to the full spectrum of quality materials — the same vintage two-stitch calfskin worn on an Omega Speedmaster, the same Marine Nationale elastic cord worn by French naval commandos, the same regimental stripe nylon from the 1973 MOD specification — available in Apple Watch-compatible fittings.

This is what CNS Watch Bands Apple Watch bands are designed to provide.

Apple Watch Band Materials — What Works Best

When the CNS Apple Watch range launches, it will cover the same material spectrum as the traditional range. Here is how each material translates to Apple Watch use:

Full-grain calfskin leather — the most formal and most character-developing Apple Watch option. Smooth or pebble-grain calfskin in black, brown, and burgundy for office, smart-casual, and formal contexts. Develops a personal patina with wear. Not suitable for sustained water exposure or gym use.

Suede — the softest leather option. Lighter and more casual than smooth calfskin. Suits the Apple Watch worn in smart-casual and weekend contexts where the full formality of smooth leather is not required.

Ballistic nylon — the most practical everyday Apple Watch band material. Water-resistant, quick-drying, lightweight, and available in hundreds of solid colours and stripe combinations. For Apple Watch owners who use their watch for fitness, outdoor activities, and everyday wear where leather would be inappropriate.

FKM rubber — the water and sport specialist. Fully waterproof, resistant to sweat, UV, and chemicals. The correct material for Apple Watch worn during swimming, gym sessions, and sustained physical activity.

Hybrid leather/rubber — leather aesthetics with rubber underside comfort. The most versatile single Apple Watch band — leather character for office and social contexts, rubber comfort against the wrist throughout the day.

Sailcloth — the nautical and sport fabric option. Water-resistant, structured, with a distinctive woven texture. Suits the Apple Watch worn in active outdoor contexts.

Elastic — Paratrooper and Marine Nationale — the most comfortable Apple Watch band material for all-day wear. Elastic nylon that conforms to the wrist and accommodates swelling during exercise without tightening.
